Valentine Challenge
Sweet Heart Candies are an Valentine Day icon. These sweet treats have been around since the civil war. So with that in mind I painted a 11x14 acrylic painting around them. I researched some of the original sayings from 1901. One of the Hearts is my own message to my Sweetheart :) The Premise of this is a Victorian Valentine Day Card that has been newly opened on a lace table cloth that has been strewn with Sweethearts. The image of the card was taken from an actual card from that time period although my version is bigger and much brighter.
